It is difficult not to be overwhelmed by the surroundings and the spectacular, far reaching views of the vineyards, olive groves and woodland of the glorious Istrian countryside. The swimming pool, sculpted into the grounds and set in to the side of the hill, is designed in a way whereby the edge simply disappears, into a glorious backdrop providing the magical panorama. The villa’s outstanding design is just as amazing with its carefully planned exterior boasting traditional elements of the authentic Istrian stonehouse with clear, sophisticated lines of the modern tower. It creates the perfect mix of modern elements that enhance, not take away, from the more traditional and original part of the house. All bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms and air-conditioning. Bed linens are provided and changed once per week. Baby cot upon request. One double bed can be separated into two single beds if required.
The enchanting medieval hilltop town of Groznjan is known as a ‘town of artists’ and exudes true Istrian charm and history offering spectacular views across hills blanketed with vineyards, hamlets and farmhouses, and the magical Mirna Valley. Classical concerts, art exhibitions and jazz festivals, artistic, dance, drama, as well as peace activism workshops are hosted here, bringing this peaceful little town to life. The number of towns and villages to visit is too long to list; this is the heart of Central Istria, one of the most beautiful spots in the world. It is also famous for local Malvasia and Teran grapes, virgin olive oil, home-made cheeses, prosciutto, barbecued meats, and of course truffles, all of which can be sampled in restaurants within the many villages and towns of the area. There are numerous hiking and cycling trails, one of the most stunning of them being the historical Parenzana old railroad trail which offers a unique ride on a tourist train along the route as well. The main coastal resorts of Umag, Novigrad and Porec, quickly reached along excellent roads, provide extremely varied leisure facilities, good nightlife, bars and restaurants.

Traumurlaub an einem magischen Ort, der uns vom ersten bis zum letzten Tag verzaubert hat. Wir wurden von den Gastgebern mit Wein und allerlei Gebäck auf das Herzlichste empfangen. Nach dem ersten Rundgang waren unsere Eindrücke berauschend, und insbesondere hat uns die phantasievolle Architektur des Turmes gefangen genommen. Jeden Tag entdeckten wir Neues in der atemberaubenden Natur, die die Villa umgibt - Vogelgeschwitzer, unter Steinen Zuflucht suchende Salamander, Hummeln und Schmetterlinge, die sich am üppig blühenden Lavendel labten, waren unsere ständigen Begleiter. Sogar ein kleiner Fuchs hat sich gezeigt. Der Service der jederzeit ansprechbaren und freundlichen Gastgeber war ausgezeichnet.. Eine traumhafte Ferienwoche, die mindestens sechs Sterne verdient hätte. Wir kommen wieder!
Villa Tower, is an absolutely beautiful and stunning property. We felt very fortunate to stay here for 5 nights and 6 days. Our host Rajna was exceptional and most helpful throughout. The 3 bedrooms are upstairs - gorgeous with very comfortable beds and exquisite design throughout. The bathrooms are uniquely designed within the bedrooms, and 2 additional bathrooms with shower are on the lower level. The kitchen is not only outfitted well, but the pantry is fully stocked and available for use. The house manager Tony is fabulous - we saw him every day as he came to check on the pool and grounds, etc. There is even a neighborhood cat Meow-Meow, that we just loved to have around - the sweetest thing, who was always there to welcome us back each day.
One thing to note - the drive from Groznjan into this property is on an unnamed gravel road for about 3 km that you cannot locate with only GPS coordinates. We got used to it throughout our stay and it did not create any difficulties other than upon arrival. But, Rajna met us in town and took us there with no problems.
If your travel plans lead you to Istria (and they should), do plan to reserve Villa Tower - you will love it !!!
