Romantic stone villa with private pool near Porec

In a small village near Višnjan there is this beautiful, typical Istrian stone house. The house was recently renovated and newly furnished and became an ideal place for a break from everyday stress.

Interiors are decorated in a modern style using conforming and refreshing colours. One really special feature at this property is a garden with homegrown vegetables which owners take care of and you are free to use. The house has a fenced yard which is ideal for children to play in, and a pool that will delight the youngest. Besides the outdoor pool, there is a covered terrace with BBQ, on where you can prepare a variety of meat and fish specialities. The house itself is very spacious, on the ground floor are the living room, kitchen and dining room, and one bedroom with en-suite bathroom. On the first floor there are three more bedrooms with bathrooms, each decorated with its own colour. The property is fully air-conditioned and internet connection is provided for our guests.

Višnjan is a small Istrian town situated on the top of a hill in Central Istria. Central Istria is known for a landscape of small, picturesque medieval towns which irresistibly remind of Tuscany or Provence. Višnjan is surrounded by forests and is located 10km North-East of Poreč. In Višnjan you can find restaurants, supermarkets, cafés, a bank, a pharmacy, medical services and a post office. In Višnjan’s surrounding area you can dine in one of the traditional Istrian taverns, where you will be able to enjoy the original Istrian specialties and get a taste of the region’s highest quality wines Malvasia and Teran. Višnjan is a place of special interest to astrology lovers because of its internationally reputed Astronomical Observatory. During your stay in Istria visit the Episcopal Complex of the Euphrasian Basilica (Unesco heritage) in the Historic Centre of Poreč (18 km) or just enjoy on the nearest beach.

Wir haben uns im Haus sehr wohl gefühlt. Es war bei Ankunft sehr sauber und es erwartete uns eine kleine (leckere!) Aufmerksamkeit im Kühlschrank. Die Küche war komplett eingerichtet und der Kontakt vor Ort per WA war sehr gut (eine Fernbedienung für das Tor war defekt und wurde umgehend ausgetauscht). Die Poolreiniger kamen wöchentlich. Auch der Pool war blitzblank. Am Freisitz am Pool gab es einen Kühlschrank, Geschirr und ein Waschbecken - perfekt um nicht immer hineinlaufen zu müssen. Wir können das Haus wirklich empfehlen und würden es sofort nochmals buchen.

alles zu unserer vollsten Zufriedenheit. sehr schön renoviert und instand gehalten und küche gut ausgestattet. perfekt auch für unseren hund, hinter dem haus ist ein großes feld für auslauf und der blick auf die wälder wunderschön. sehr nahe ein sehr schöner wander/bike weg. danke!

We stayed a week at Villa Jona in July 2017. We are two adults and three children (7-12 years). We had a wonderful time here. The house was really spacious with four bedrooms and each with its own bathroom. The house is well located in the middle of Istria, not too far from the main interesting things to see. But the real differentiator was the combination of the pool, the outside kitchen and the BBQ. We ate every single meal outside. The outside kitchen was also equiped with a refrigerator, so you didn't have to go far for getting your drinks during BBQ's and at the pool side. All in all a very nice place to relax. The host Franko was very friendly and helpful in providing us some nice restaurants in the neighbourhood. And for the addicted people: yes, the pool was WiFi covered.

We stayed here in Villa Jona at the end of May 2017. My husband and I , my elderly mother Aged 74 , and our two kids aged 4 and 5. It was such a perfect holiday. Everything about the Villa was so luxurious. We had bbq's most days . The kids were so happy and entertained with the playground the pool and the games room. We had a car rented while we were there that got delivered to the villa. Visnjan is just a short easy drive away. I would recommend visiting the lavender farm and the caves . A lovely country restaurant we were delighted to find and ate there 3 evenings is called Agroturizam Selo Mekisi , perfect for the kids to play in the garden while you ate. Our holiday in Villa Jona was by far one of the nicest places we stayed in. Franko the owner was so helpful and accommodating. It was just perfect 10 out of 10 .
