Comfortable sun loungers invite you to sunbathe and the large terrace is the family meeting place for barbecuing together on mild summer evenings. While you enjoy the benefits of the well-equipped summer kitchen with a grill and pizza oven, the little ones have enough space to romp in the garden of the villa.
The main building of Villa Casa Baratto welcomes you with an open, cosy living and dining area and a fully equipped kitchen. One of the small highlights is the vinotheque next to the kitchen. On the same level, there is also a laundry room and two separate guest toilets.
The two comfortable double bedrooms on the ground floor each have their own bathroom - your personal little wellness oasis. One of these bedrooms has a sofa bed.
The upper floor of Villa Casa Baratto consists of 4 beautiful bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms. Two of the bedrooms have a large double bed and a sofa bed, the other two have two single beds each - one also has a sofa bed, the other a baby bed.
The outbuilding is just a few steps away and can provide privacy for a small family or grandparents. A private small apartment with a living room, in which there is a living-dining area and a kitchen, as well as a bedroom with a double bed, a sofa bed and a private bathroom, is ideal for enjoying peace and quiet.
Another separate object on the property of the villa could be called the "leisure room". The small house has a lot to offer: a fitness room with a large selection of high-quality equipment, spa area with sauna and massage room, games room with pool table, table football, darts, table tennis... there is no room for boredom here. Villa Casa Baratto is located in the old tranquil village of Barat near Kanfanar. Due to its central location, the villa is ideal for all those who are looking for an oasis of calm, to which you can return after an exciting day. Surrounded by the typical Istrian landscape, hills and fields, old buildings and friendly local people, you will surely feel comfortable here. Discover the surrounding area on a walk, hike or bike ride. Not too far away are the well-known cities of Rovinj and Porec on the west coast of Istria. Beautiful beaches and bays, well-known sights for art and culture lovers, an excellent selection of restaurants, shopping and a variety of events are all on offer here. Visit the nearby water and fun parks, discover the Dvigrad ruins or take a trip to Lim Fjord and try fresh mussels and oysters there.
Also, the historic and beautiful city of Pula with the famous amphitheatre where numerous concerts take place in summer can be reached from Barat in about 40 minutes. Enjoy the hustle and bustle of this bustling city or spend a day exploring the beaches from Pula to Cape Kamenjak - the southernmost tip of Istria.

Our stay in this villa was very enjoyable. The house in reality is even better than it seems on the photos, It is very elegant, yet not pretentious. Whoever designed it, had even small details on mind and a very good taste. Every room has its ensuite bathroom and all of them are equally nice and comfortable. Materials and furniture are of great quality. Beds are especially comfortable, air condition not too strong, but still refreshing the house and rooms very well. Pool is very clean, garden well maintained. There is a laundry room, which is great if you travel with kids. and need to often wash clothes. There is a barbecue, we used it to prepare several dinners. The house even has a fitness studio in a separate building, which is shared with another villa of the same owner. It is very comfortable and especially adequate if you are staying here with children. It has a separate small house, equally nice and comfortable as the rest of the house, where the owner kindly put the child bed for us. The village of Barat is a nice, very silent place, far from tourist crowds yet still close to main Istrian cities and attractions. First shop is 10-15 min by car. We followed owner*s recommendations when it comes to local restaurants and enjoyed great local food. This is a great place for bigger groups of friends or big families as here you will have all the comfort needed and you will be able to spend a nice time together.
Just come back from 9 days stay at Villa Casa Baratto in early June. And Villa Casa Baratto was indeed the right choice for our family, 10 adults and 7 children. This is a really amazing villa - modern & spacious and situated in a perfect location to use as a base to explore the Istria region, which is really beautiful. The villa had plenty of room for us both inside & outside in the garden/poolside. It was equipped with everything we needed, a very comfortable place to stay. There is a local supermarket about 10 mins drive away & also 2-3 restaurants within a short drive that were very nice. The owner were very welcoming and helpful. We will definitely recommend a stay in this amazing villa.
