Many of us like to think back to the old days: the food of the time, the people of the time but especially the technology of the time ... Some things were a bit unwieldy, difficult or complicated, but you could rely on them and they lasted forever!
In Croatia it is like this: the food is at least as good as it used to be, the people are still hospitable and relaxed, only the technology has progressed as everywhere and has simplified our lives a lot, but it no longer has
the charm of "back then" when everything was even better. ;) But Croatians also like to bring a little "then" into today, e.g. with old cars.
Classic car meetings take place mainly in the north of Croatia, in
Istria and the Kvarner region. There are exhibitions in Rijeka several times a year. The event makes a very special impression at the old industrial port with cranes and factories and the city marina in the background. You can have a look at the oldtimers, test seats and talk shop with the owners.
But such
open-air exhibitions by the sea also take place in Umag, Pula, Zadar and Split and magically attract locals and tourists.
A very special experience are of course
the rallies, which also
take place every year and cover almost every region of Croatia. The International Auto Rally, Liburnia Classic Oldtimer Rally or the Dalmatia Auto Rally are just a few of the trips by the local auto clubs. Connect with your own classic car or drive the country's streets on your own.
