Some of the most
beautiful villas from our offer are located on the
island of Krk. One of the largest islands on the Croatian coast is an
old hand in tourism and knows how to spoil its guests and offer everything to make a vacation on Krk unforgettable. We would like to bring some of the
annual events closer to you so that you
don’t miss the opportunity to take part when visiting the island.
Malinska is expecting its guests with the “
Sensa Cheese Days” in the early Summer. Throughout May everything is about products made from homemade sheep's cheese. And right on Ascension Day, the big cheese fair takes place in the port of Malinska, where farmers, sheep farmers and local craftsmen present their products. The
cheese festival with the traditional "cheese race” - "Tec za sir" - also has a wide gastronomic offer.
The “
Krk Music Fest”, which takes place in June, awaits music lovers with a varied program in the city of Krk.
Croatian singers, musicians, DJs and folklore groups bring life to the city, street food stands ensure their physical well-being and
music workshops reveal the creativity of its participants. Take part and get to know Croatia from its musical side.
The “
Island Dance Competition” in June,
brings together international dancers, dance schools, clubs, studios, academies, amateurs and professional dance groups in
Malinska. This event is a must for everyone who loves dance. Ballet, street dance, acro dance, standard dance, folklore and oriental dance are just a few of the disciplines that are represented here. Get carried away and
swing your hips!
Omisalj is known for its "
Evening of Ancient Cuisine", which is celebrated every year in July. It is served in the
Fulfinum Mirine in the Roman era style. Let yourself be part of it and follow the traces of the ancient Romans with the help of gastronomy and culture. Learn about
ancient craftsmanship and customs in the Roman camp. Torches, ancient music, street performers, gladiators and the emperor with his entourage let you immerse yourself in the
fascinating world of antiquity.
We encounter a somewhat more recent tradition at
Malinska Nights, where during two days in July you have the opportunity to get to know everything in one place:
tradition, local gastronomy and entertainment. You should not miss an open-air
chess tournament if you visit Malinska in July or August. Show your chess skills and take on the best!
The “
Baska Guitar Festival” takes place every year in August. Here you have the opportunity to listen to the
beautiful sounds of the guitar that are heard through the strings of the most
famous guitar virtuosos. While the young musicians get the opportunity to put themselves in the spotlight, the experienced guitarists show us how to play into the hearts of the listeners with one of the most popular instruments. You can learn how to do it yourself then in the small guitar schools.
A pleasure for the ears and soul ...
Vrbnik, known for its excellent wine, attracts visitors in July and August under the motto “
Popi’ i pojedi" (“eat and drink”) with a wide program that is all about – what else? -eating and drinking. As part of the event visit the “
Wine days of Krk Island", taste Vrbnicka Zlahtina, get to know winegrowers from this and other regions or learn all about wine growing in Croatia. Take part in the “
Surlice Days”. The
traditional hand-made pasta from the region is being presented with different sauces everywhere and of course also can be tasted. An attractive entertainment program is offered on the main square of Vrbnik.
The “
Olive Days" have been organized by the municipality of
Punat since 1996, and
tourists can take part in the olive harvest. Experience for yourself how the olives get from the tree into the bottle. An art exhibition on "
Landscape and Olive Groves" offers a closer look at the topic, while a market with local products such as olive oil, goat and sheep cheese, honey, wine and figs offers all kinds of delicacies.
It is not for nothing that CULTURE and GASTRONOMY are capitalised on the island of Krk.
Discover the diversity through art and tradition, become part of it for a short time and simply take a piece of this feeling home with you.
