Villa Artien is located in the village of Baderna, 10 km east of the town of Porec on the west coast of Istria. Baderna is a small, former Roman village near larger, tourist centres such as Porec (10 km) and Novigrad (23 km), which are definitely worth your visit. The beaches are only a few minutes drive from the villa in the vicinity of Porec, and in the village of Baderna you can find cafes, restaurants and smaller local shops. Today, Porec is one of the most important tourist centres with the stunning Euphrasian Basilica (since 1997 part of the UNESCO heritage), from the Byzantine era. If you are travelling with children, visit the Istralandia Water Park, just a 20-minute drive from the villa. Look for wine and olive oil trails in the area and taste valuable local Istrian products.
