Beautiful villa with pool in Central Istria

Villa Ema Istra is located in the small Istrian town called Sveti Petar u Sumi, in Central Istria. It is quiet and relaxing, yet the busy tourist centre of Poreč and Rovinj with their beaches and crystal clear the Adriatic Sea and sights are just a short drive away. Central Istria is known for a landscape of small, picturesque medieval towns which irresistibly remind of Tuscany or Provence. It offers remains of cultural heritage as well. Istria with its bike roads is the perfect biking destination. The road connections are excellent with access to a fast motorway for Pula or Trieste airports. Sveti Petar u Sumi was named after a Benedictine monastery from the early 12th century, but for centuries it belonged to the Pauline Fathers - the white monks. It is an unusual Istrian place. Unlike other Istrian towns and cities where the villages are situated on a mountain, Sv. Petar u Sumi is situated on a hilly plateau surrounded by ancient forests. In the surrounding area, there are an 18 km long bicycle path that leads visitors through untouched nature. Also attractive is the 4.2 km long hiking trail Krizni put with 14 stations with stone sculptures of sacral motifs. Numerous events take place in Sveti Petar u Sumi, attracting many visitors every year. The most famous is the sausage market, where the championship in traditional sausage stuffing takes place. Not far from the villa there are numerous taverns where you can taste the finest Istrian delicacies. We recommend visiting other tourist destinations, such as the towns of Pula and Rovinj on the coast and the medieval towns of Motovun and Buzet in central Istria.
