Charming stone villa with private pool in Groznjan

The charming Villa Nonna Lucia is situated in the municipality Groznjan, near the medieval picturesque town of Groznjan in Central Istria. The villa, designed in traditional Istrian style and with a private pool is the ideal choice for a relaxing family vacation, far away from the stress of everyday life.

The ground floor, features an open floor concept with a fully-equipped kitchen and living and dining area. On this floor, you will also find a bedroom with en-suite bathroom. On the upper floor, you will find two additional bedrooms, both with en-suite bathrooms. The private pool can be accessed directly from the living area. The pool flows in a cascade into another pool, ideal for the little ones. In the villa´s charming garden you can relax with a good book in the hammocks or enjoy a traditional meal while breathing in the fresh Mediterranean air.

Villa Nonna Lucia is situated in the municipality Groznjan on the peninsula Istria. Groznjan is a municipality as well as a beautiful medieval town. It is known as “The artist village”. In the warm summer months, the town comes to life and becomes one of the most important cultural centres in Croatia. Numerous galleries as well as ateliers can be found in the town. Every year at the end of July the jazz festival “Jazz is back!” takes place as well as the festival “Ex Tempore” at the end of September, when more than 300 artists from all over Europe gather in the town to exhibit their art works. The city buildings were built from limestone, which was also used in Triest, Budapest and Vienna. On the south of Groznjan you can enjoy a beautiful view of the valley of the river Mirna whereas on the east lies another medieval town called Motovun and the mountain Ucka. On the western part of the town has a seaview. The town is also an ideal place to taste traditional Istrian cuisine (truffle) and local honey.

Es war wieder einmal wunderschön hier. Wir genießen jedesmal die Ruhe, das schöne Haus und den tollen Pool. Die Badezimmer sind zwar etwas klein aber das reicht vollkommen aus. Die Besitzer sind unheimlich zuvorkommend und sehr nett. Das Haus ist sehr sauber und jede Woche werden die Handtücher und die Bettlaken gewechselt. Es kommt auch regelmäßig jemand der den Pool kontrolliert und sauber macht. Alles im allen ein toller erholsamer Urlaub. Wir kommen gerne immer wieder
