Villa Anna is a modern and charming villa in Istria for a total of 8 guests and it is a great fit for a calming vacation in Croatia. The villa features great amenities, both in indoor and outdoor areas.
Guests can enjoy the warm Mediterranean sun on the comfortable sun loungers by the pool and read a great book or solve crosswords for example. After sunbathing, refresh yourself with a dip in the pool or with a cold drink. The great advantage of the pool is of course that the children will stay occupied for quite a long time, so parents can fully relax. Guests can also prepare delicious meals on the electric BBQ and enjoy those in the shaded dining area outside. You’ll find a covered lounge area and a swing just a few steps away from the pool, perfect for spending chill summer evenings with family and friends. From here you can enter the cozy living room, dining area, and also the fully equipped kitchen, which are filled with a bunch of natural lights thanks to big windows. Guests will be surrounded by a minimalistic design and grey, white and brown tones throughout the ground and the first floor. The villa consists of a total of 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, which are all located on the first floor. 2 bedrooms have double-sized beds and one of them even has an en-suite bathroom with a tub. On this floor, guests will also find one bedroom with 2 single beds, one bathroom with a shower, and one sofa bed on the gallery for 2 people. The villa is fully air-conditioned, it has Wi-Fi and the children will also have table tennis and table soccer for fun. If you’re searching for relaxation during your vacation, but still want to be accommodated in a modern and stylish villa in Istria, Villa Anna is just the right choice.
There is an open gallery upstairs with a sofa bed for two which could be used as a fourth bedroom. Bed linens are provided and changed once per week. Baby cot available upon request.

Visnjan is a small Istrian town situated on the top of a hill. It is surrounded by forests and is located 10km (6 miles) North-East of Porec. The antique terrace on the square, which is entered through a Venetian arc, gives one a remarkable view of the sea. Ever since the days of Venetian rule, Visnjan had served as a renowned commercial centre, where all sorts of agricultural products and tools were being sold. Even today, every last Thursday of the month there is a traditional open market held there, which is a special attraction for people from all over Istria.
As you pass the stone road down the hill from the place where Visnjan is located, you will be able to see an early Gothic church of St. Anton the Abbot built in the 14th century. The road leads to the city gates, which have been decorated in bas-relief with the motif of the Venice Lion from 1517 with the pride of the city hiding behind it – the old city square. The square has been partly surrounded by the city wall, which was built during the 13th and 14th centuries.
The square contains a 27-meter high belfry, a city lodge from the 18th century, a well, and a parish church of St.Kvirik and Julita dating back from the 19th century.
Whatever you need, you can find it in Visnjan: restaurants, supermarkets, coffee shops, a bank, a pharmacy, a medical centre, and a post office. In Višnjan’s surrounding area you can dine in one of the traditional Istrian taverns, where you will be able to enjoy the original Istrian specialities and get a taste of the region’s highest quality wines, Malvasia and Teran.
Visnjan is a place of special interest to astrology lovers because of its internationally reputed Astronomical Observatory.

Tolle Villa, in der es an nichts mangelt. Sehr modern und großzügig ausgestattetes Haus. Der Aufenthalt hat uns sehr viel Spass gemacht. Am Infinity-Pool läßt es sich wirklich entspannen. Man hat einen tollen Blick aufs Meer. Im Ort Visnjan hat es in 3 min Laufnähe ein paar gute Läden (Bäcker, Metzger, Supermarkt) und Cafes.
Zwei Punkte sollten allerdings nicht unerwähnt bleiben: Wer mit dauerndem Hundegebell Probleme hat, sollte sich überlegen, ob er mit Hunden direkt unterhalb (Zwinger mit zwei großen Hunden) und oberhalb (ein Hund) den Urlaub wirklich geniessen kann. Die Bilder auf der Website entsprechen nicht mehr dem aktuellen Stand. Der frontale Ausblick zum Meer ist inzwischen durch einen (noch nicht ganz fertig gestellten) Anbau verstellt. Der Seitenblick ist aber weiterhin toll. Die Betreuung durch Marina war gut.

Der Besitzer der Villa hat uns bestätigt, dass es sich um keine Hunde Zwinger handelt, sondern lediglich um Nachbarn im Dorf, die Hunde als Haustiere haben.

Excellent Villa, everything you need, clean and fantastic views. We were very well looked after by Marina, nothing was too much trouble.
Ate at the Pizza restaurant in the town a few nights, very friendly staff, had some really good evenings there.
Also did the day trip to Venice, ferry from Porec, once onboard you can take advantage of the different tours you can do with them on arrival. We did the full one, was well worth the money.
We found Croatia a very hospitable country and would definitely go again.

Wir waren schon oft zu Gast im wunderschönen Städtchen Visnjan und haben unseren Aufenthalt in der perfekten Villa Anna sehr genossen. Die Betreuung war ebenfalls großartig. Wir kommen gerne wieder!
Beautiful villa in a perfect location. The villa was clean, spacious, nicely furnished and with the most amazing views. Pool is large and was warm enough even for me to swim! It is rare to find a villa with garden, pool and great views yet within walking distance of a friendly village. Visnjan is a lovely village, it isn't touristy and the locals are friendly. There is a bakery, two supermarkets and two great restaurants less than a five minute walk from the villa. The village is also perfectly positioned with easy road links so that you can visit most places in Istria within a short time, both coastal and inland. The villa is very private, and although there are houses nearby it isn't overlooked. As a previous reviewer mentioned, there are dogs nearby that bark occasionally, but you get this in the countryside too. The only reason that I haven't given 5 stars is that we did have a few small problems to begin with - no working parasols by the pool, house water not very hot and a few broken bits of decking sticking up by the pool - if you're paying a lot of a money for a villa you expect this to be fixed before you arrive.. However Marina, our contact, was brilliant and all this was sorted in a very short time. She was very charming, extremely helpful in general and nothing was too much trouble for her. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend this villa and hope to return one day.

Die Villa hält was die Bilder sowie die Beschreibung versprechen. Wir befinden, dass die Villa ein stimmiges Preis - Leistungsverhältnis besitzt. Eigentümer sowie deren Mitarbeiterinnen (Marina und Manuela) sind sehr zuvorkommend um kümmern sich sofort um alles, auch an einem Sonntag !!!
Die Villa verfügt über einwandfrei funktionierende Klimageräte sowie Internet (ca. 40 MBit/s) und WLAN (funktioniert auch am Pool). Bei Anreise ist sogar der Kühlschrank mit ersten, kalten Getränken für uns bestückt gewesen. Weiter verfügt die Villa über eine Garage für ein Fahrzeug sowie den gigantischen Pool. Grillstelle mit ausreichend Holz sowie Holzkohle ist vorhanden. Es gibt eine Tischtennisplatte, einen Kicker (ganz neu) sowie drei Fahrräder. Wir dürften sogar das reife Obst & Gemüse aus dem kleinen Garten verwenden.
Bäckerei, Metzger sowie zwei kleine Supermärkte und natürlich die schmackhafte Pizzeria können zu Fuss (keine 5 Minuten) erreicht werden.
Es muss sich aber jeder darüber im klaren sein, dass die Villa nicht alleine in der Gegend steht, sondern sich am Rande des Ortskern von Visnjan befindet. Somit gibt es auch Häuser in der Nachbarschaft wo Menschen leben und arbeiten. Weiter hält sich hier nahezu jeder Grundstückseigentümer einen Hund (an einer Kette angeleint). Alles in Allem sind wir zufrieden und erholt abgereist.

Thank you for your review and pointing out the issue.
Since the owner was not able to provide a more stable internet connection, the wifi was provided through a mobile stick.
In the meantime this problem was solved, so the villa has now a good internet connection.
