This beautiful newly restored property is nested in a quiet Istrian village, just a short ride away from the coastal city of Rovinj. The property has been restored with care but also updated so it provides all the benefits of modern living like all en-suite bathrooms, air-conditioning and WiFi internet.
The garden is completely enclosed and provides privacy around the stone decked pool. Outside is also a big covered dining and lounge area with an outdoor kitchen. The stone-built barbecue has an additional bread/pizza oven. The property consists of two buildings in the same garden. One with a double bedroom, bathroom, kitchen and living area... so it is ideal if a couple in your group requires extra privacy. The big building has 4 bedrooms, a kitchen and a big living room with a fireplace. All the bedrooms have separate en-suite bathrooms and air-conditioning systems. The garden has a watering system so the grass will always be nice and green. The beach in Lim fjord is just a very short drive away (5 km) and there is a good restaurant within walking distance.
In 2019 Villa Moncalvo was awarded the EcoDomus certificate, which guarantees that the guests are staying in an eco-friendly villa. EcoDomus is a marking programme carried out by the Istrian Region Administrative Department for Tourism with the aim of increasing both social and environmental awareness in tourism.
The villa is nestled in the old village of Golaš just out of the picturesque town of Bale. The town of Bale, entirely made of stone, embodies Istria's tradition and has been in existence, according to archaeological research, since the Roman period. The 45th parallel goes straight through the narrowest part of the district of Bale, which means that the district is ideally positioned as regards the planet – halfway between the Equator and the North Pole. The town has 2400 sunny hours on average a year, which has attracted huge numbers of tourists to the place. There are a few very good restaurants there too. The City of Rovinj is just a short drive away (15 km). It is the most romantic place in the Mediterranean! The town of Rovinj is the right destination for all of you seeking a sentimental atmosphere of the times that have forever gone by. In the Mediterranean, you can find it here, in the town that has begun its romantic life on an island, its restricted area resulting in crowded houses, narrow streets and small squares, still untouched by modern urbanism. Lim fjord, one of the most beautiful natural resources of the Istrian peninsula, with very good seafood restaurants and a nice beach is 10 km from the villa.

Silvano is a great host and a very nice and welcoming person! Always is there to helm if you have any questions or requests. The place is even better than it looks in the photos. If you go to this place, ask Silvano to recommend you Agroturizam for amazing food. Unbelievable. Unglaublich zuvorkommender und freundlicher Vermieter. Ist jederzeit erreichbar und immer schnell da, wenn was ist. Die Villa ist schön geräumig und hat einen großen Pool, der auch während dem Aufenthalt gereinigt wird.
Ich würde jederzeit wieder kommen.

Ein sehr schönes Haus und Silvano ist ein sehr sympathischer Gastgeber. Einziger Wermutstropfen war,dass bei Ankunft die Geschirrspülmaschine defekt war und während der ganzen Woche unseres Aufenthaltes nicht repariert wurde 😣.
Würden das Haus aber wieder buchen,da Lage, Haus,Pool und Garten perfekt 👍

What A great host, Silvano!! Wonderfull, helpfull, friendly, always stand by when needed!! The house is A beauty!! We had A wonderfull vacation. The property is beautiful , peace and quiet, clean! IT was perfect! The winehouse Next door worth A visit! The house is close to Bale , small beautiful village, close to Pula , Rovinj and Limski! You do need A car! We had A perfect vacation, family, friends, Good food, great house, lovely wine, great property owner! Thx!!!
Great Villa with a lot of space, rooms, bathrooms, pool, Barbecue area which was used almost every day with frech fish from fish market in Rovinj.

Amazing place!
Great facilities, good location (10min drive from beach and Rovinj) very big garden with lot of space for different activities for children.
Very well equipped.
Silvano is great host and we really enjoyed! We plan to return!
