This special island of salt whose surface looks like the moon is located on the northern part of the Croatian coast. Pag is the fifth-largest island and one of those with the longest coastline. Although you can not find many towns and villages here, this island has a rich history. It is famous for its cultural and gastronomical tradition (Pag lace, high-quality sheep cheese, lamb meat) Village Metajna is a charming little touristy place with beautiful, natural beaches just 10 km away from Novalja. Once a fisherman village, today it is mostly a place for a peaceful, family holiday. Still, you can have a long walk along the sea promenade and if you like to fish there are plenty of opportunities to buy them locally, fresh from the net and enjoy it together. If you want to explore the island you can visit healing mud locations, sightsee stonewalls, old churches or nearby touristy cities on the land (Zadar, Nin). Be sure to visit the salt and lace museum on Pag, those are the two most recognizable landmarks of this island.

Wir verbrachten 2 wundervolle Wochen hier in der Villa Bernarda. Traumhafter Ausblick aufs Meer, schön ruhig und entspannend. Unsere beiden Hunde haben sich auch sehr wohl gefühlt. Wir kommen wieder!

We felt great on our holidays in Villa Bernarda, Surrounding and sea view is beautiful, Villa is fully furnisher and we did not miss anything for the being there/ kitchen well equipped. Villa is very new and you feel like to be home, you have really a privacy. Sea is approximately 5 minutes to walk down and back up to small hill, but this we did not find as a difficulty. Small shop/market and restaurants are the same way as beach down in the village. Communication with the owner as well as with agency was nice and with no problems. We enjoyed our holidays and stay in Villa Bernarda and if there will po possibility, we would return for sure.
