Great villa with pool near Zadar for big groups

Our stay at the Villa Culina with 13 people was nearly perfect. There is only little to criticize. First the positive aspects. The house offers everything you need and everything, despite the electronics in the pool, was working. The gym is fully functional and one can really do some exercises there. All in all, we did not miss something important. The villa was very clean and we felt very safe, as you can close the gates to completely lock the property. A big table next to the pool invites you to spend most of the time there. Due to the outdoor kitchen with a dishwasher and fridge, one is not required to go inside the house most of the time. There are many comfortable sunbeds and parasols. The house is divided into 3 separate flats, each with its own kitchen and bathroom. The one on the ground floor offers the biggest kitchen, which invites us to cook bigger meals. It could be a bit bigger though, as we were lacking some big pots and enough hot plates. Therefore cooking outside or making a barbecue is more fun. The beds were comfy, but only one blanket per bed was available. A dedicated room for partying with thick walls provides the possibility to be a bit louder at night, without disturbing neighbors or people inside the house already sleeping. The location offers the possibility to visit Zadar or one of the many beaches nearby, all within a 30-minute drive by car. The things to complain about are minor. The big street directly next to the villa is quite noisy, as cars drive 60 - 70 km/h even at night. A few trashcans in the bathrooms would be nice and some more kitchen towels. Due to the high walls and hedge next to the pool, to block the noisy street, the pool was in the sun for only a few hours a day. Therefore it was a few degrees colder than the sea, For the big table and benches outside some pillows to sit on would also be nice. Despite all this, we very much enjoyed our stay and can only recommend the Villa Culina! Thanks also to Marijan for the warm welcome and helpfulness in all situations.

The six of us spent a week in the beautiful villa. The host, Marijan, welcomed us warmly and treated us as if we were part of the family. On the first evening he invited us to dinner and gave us his mobile phone number so we could call him if something was wrong. That was not necessary - the property is in top condition and state of the art. There are 3 apartments; 1 with one bedroom, one with 2 bedrooms and one with 3 bedrooms. There is also a large fitness room with sauna and jacuzzi. The outside area is very spacious and well maintained. As it is located at a main road, it can get a little loud from time to time. But if you leave the music system running, it doesn't disturb further. Next to the pool is an outdoor kitchen and a covered dining area that leaves nothing to be desired. On our last evening Marijan cooked for us there and served us Croatian specialties that were really delicious. We have never experienced so much hospitality as here and can only say: we will come again! Many thanks Marijan

We stayed at the Villa Culina for one week at the beginning of September 2018. We were a group of 12 persons and had a wonderfull time at this very cozy villa. The outdoor area with fridge, dishwasher and a huge grill was perfect to cook and to spend the time outside even at night. The villa was clean and our host Marijan was always helpful and generous. He also provided a welcome meal for us when we arrived and one evening he cooked a very delicious seafood dinner. The pool already contained two big inflatable islands which were perfect to chill during the days. It was very relaxing to enjoy some cold drinks on them while floating on the pool. From the villa you can reach Zadar in 15 minutes. Zadar has a beautiful oldtown and very good restaurants.. We were happy to stay in this beautifull villa during our holiday and we wanna thank Marijan for his hospitality.

We have just spent two weeks in this lovely villa and Marijan was the perfect host. He greeted us early and prepared antipasti and provided drinks for us which was much appreciated, the meal he also cooked for us was delicious too. The pool area and outside kitchen was used non stop, providing a very sociable area. Zadar is a lovely place to visit and Villa Culina a lovely place to stay Thankyou Marijan

My family of ten have just returned from two weeks at Marijans villa and it was fantastic! We spent most of our time in the outdoor kitchen which was perfect to still be social and hide for the scorching heat. The villa is spacious enough that you have your own space and can keep yourself occupied in the gym, hot tub or sauna as we all did, there’s even enough space around the pool for morning yoga! Marijan was a great host for an evening when he came to cook a 4 course meal for us, taught us how to fillet a fish and had a great evening finding out more about him and the surrounding areas. He was helpful from the minute we got there, having allowed us too check in early we arrived, he helped take our cases to our apartments and gave us a good show around the villa. He was extremely generous, (arrived on the evening he cooked for us with a new giant inflatable island for us to relax in and came in very useful) and was very helpful on the couple of occasions we needed things, There is a shop within a 3 min walk to get your basics and a restaurant across the road, tried it a couple of times but found much better in Zadar old town which is a 10-15 min Uber away, can highly recommend Restaurant Bruschetta! Villa is a great location for visiting other areas too. On the whole, thank you very much Marijan, I can highly recommend your fantastic villa!

Absolut zu empfehlen!!! Ich war mit meinen Jungs ( Fussballmannschaft) dort und diese Villa hat unsere Erwartungen absolut erfüllt. Man kann den angezeigten Fotos der Villa Culina vertrauen, denn es sieht dort genauso aus. Auch die möglichen 16 Personen finden dort genug Platz und man hat trotzdem genug Freiraum. Die Außen- bzw. Poolanlage wurde im Jahr 2017 erst neu eingerichtet. Generell ist diese Villa für alle Personengruppen, ob mit großer Familie oder auch für eine Mannschaftsfahrt geeignet und auch zu empfehlen. Der Vermieter ist auch super nett, ist jederzeit erreichbar und versucht sein Bestes, um den Wünschen der Mieter gerecht zu werden,falls es noch welche gibt. Alles in allem eine super Woche und eine wunderschöne Unterkunft. Vielleicht sieht man sich ja nochmal wieder.

We (7 adults, 6 kids) had a great time End of May 2017 in Villa Culina! We arrived too early but Marijan was very nice and welcomed us with a great plate of Croatian Antipasti and an refridgerator filled with cold drinks. The apartments are fully equipped and with air condition. Our kids were excited about the sport facilities and jacuzzi and used them regurlarly. But the highlight is the pool area with the kitchen, dish washer and the great refridgerator. There is also a barbecue where Marijan regaled us with his Risotto and grilled fish. Awesome! The distance to the city of Zadar are some km but it is easy to get there. Marijan was even so kind to send us some things we forgot when we departed.
