Das Ferienhaus befindet sich unterhalb der Stadtmauern von Motovun, auf dem Hügel oberhalb des wunderschönen Mirna-Flusstals. Es überblickt den alten Eichenwald von Motovun, der reich an Trüffeln und Pilzen mit exquisitem Geschmack ist.
Der Innenbereich ist großzügig für insgesamt 15 Personen geeignet, und wurde wunderschön möbliert und mit Liebe zum Detail ausgestattet.
Im Untergeschoss befindet sich 1 Schlafzimmer mit Doppelbett (max 2 Personen) und eigenem Badezimmer (und direktem Ausgang zum Pool), eine voll ausgestattete Küche, mit einem großem Essbereich welcher in den Wohnraum übergeht der entsprechend möbliert ist für Ihren Komfort und Entspannung. Sie werden auch einen Unterhaltungsraum vorfinden, mit Billard-Tisch und einen Sofabett, als mögliche Schlafgelegenheit für 2 Personen.
Auf der ersten Etage befinden sich 3 Schlafzimmer, von welchen zwei Schlafzimmer mit eigenem Badezimmern und Doppelbett sind, ein zusätzliches Schalzimmer mit Doppelbett (für max 2 Personen), sowie ein zusätzliches Badezimmer.
Das Apartment - Family Zimmer - auch auf der ersten Etage, enthält eine eigene kleinere funktionelle Küche und Essbereich, das Hauptschlafzimmer mit eigenem Badezimmer und offenem Kamin, der für eine speziell warme Atmosphäre sorgt. Stufen führen zur offenen Galerie, wo sich zwei Einzelbetten befinden (jedes 140cm breit, für max 4 Personen).
Das Apartment hat auch einen direkten Ausgang zu einer großen Terrasse mit teilweise überdachtem Kamin. Hier können Sie sich entspannen, während Sie die herrliche Aussicht auf das Tal geniessen welches Motovun umgibt.
Die Umgebung des Hauses mit Olivenbäumen und einem kleinen Weingarten sorgen für vollständige Privatsphäre am Pool mit Steinterrasse. Ein überdachte Terrasse mit Grill ist perfekt zum Essen im Freien am Pool, wobei Sie die Sonnenuntergänge über dem Tal geniessen können.
Die Düfte und Aromen von Motovun verbinden sich zu einer einzigartigen Atmosphäre, die auch das Ferienhaus Dolce Vita prägt. Dieses romantische Ferienhaus kann ganzjährig gemietet werden.
Die Master-Suite setzt sich aus zwei Etagen zusammen. Sie besteht aus einem Hauptschlafzimmer (160x200) mit En-suite Badezimmer und einem offenen Kamin, einem Essbereich und einer Küche. Aus dem Essbereich führen zwei Doppeltüren zu einer große Terrasse, welche teilweise, mit einem kleinen Außenkamin, abgedeckt ist. Über dem Master-Suite Essbereich gelangen sie über eine Treppe zu einer offenen Galerie, wo sich zwei Einzelbetten (jedes 140cm breit max. 4 Personen) befinden. Das Galerieschlafzimmer ist für Kinder ungeeignet. Baby Bett auf Anfrage. Bettwäsche ist vorhanden und wird einmal pro Woche gewechselt.
1 Schlafzimmer im Erdgeschoss 180x200, 2 Schlafzimmer im Obergeschoss 160x200; 1 kleines Schlafzimmer im Obergeschoss 130x200. Im Zimmer mit dem Billiard-Tisch befindet sich ein zusätzliches Sofabett (1 Person)
Es gibt 4 Badezimmer und ein separates Bad. Badezimmer-Handtücher sind vorhanden und werden einmal pro Woche gewechselt. Strandtücher sind nicht inbegriffen.
Motovun ist ein mittelalterlicher Ort mit einem Golfplatz, natürlichen Quellen und Spa, Reitmöglichkeiten und einem internationalen Filmfestival. Großartige Restaurants, Tavernen, Weinkeller und Cafés befinden sich in der Umgebung des Ferienhauses. Die Adriaküste mit ihren Stränden und Urlauberorten Porec, Rovinj und Novigrad ist 20 min entfernt. 45 min entfernt sind Pula und der Nationalpark der Brijuni-Inseln. Sie können Porec sogar über die Mountainbikestrecke erreichen, die direkt unterhalb des Anwesens verläuft. Von Porec aus können Sie mit der Fähre nach Venedig fahren. Nur 30 Autominuten entfernt befindet sich Triest mit fantastischen Einkaufsmöglichkeiten auf der anderen Seite der Grenze. Das Haus der perfekte Ort in Motovun für große Gruppen. Die geschmackvolle Gestaltung, der Garten und der atemberaubende Ausblick über das Mirna-Tal machen das Anwesen so einzigartig. Zweifellos einer der besten Standorte im Bereich Motovun. Alle Dienstleistungen sind zu Fuß erreichbar.
Golf: Ein 6-Loch-Golfplatz mit Übungsmöglichkeiten ist 10 Autominuten entfernt. 18-Loch-Plätze befinden sich in der weiteren Umgebung.

Sehr schöne ruhige Lage und für Großfamilien oder befreundete Familien super geeignet. Das „Lädchen“ für Brötchen und Co um die Ecke hat sich bewährt und auch unsere Weinproben bei Novak und Fakin in unmittelbarer Nähe waren klasse. Motovun bietet ausreichend Gastro-Angebote, sodass man in 1-2 Wochen einige Möglichkeiten der Verköstigung findet. Unser Highlight - besonders für die Kids - ist der Pool. Sauber und groß genug! Das wir zum Strand etwas fahren mussten (25-30 min) war uns vorher bewusst und haben wir gern in Kauf genommen, da es für uns wichtig war, dass der Urlaubsort nicht überlaufen ist. Viel Platz, liebevoll eingerichtet, riesiger Pool der alle drei Tage gereinigt wurde. Ein toller Service durch die Gastgeber. Wenn etwas fehlte, wurde dies unverzüglich vorbei gebracht. Supermarkt und Restaurants zu Fuß erreichbar. Relativ zentral in Istrien um überall hinzukommen.

Wir hatten wunderschöne Ferien. Das Haus liegt sehr schön direkt hinter einer Toskana ähnlichen Landschaft. Es ist stilvoll eingerichtet und es fehlt an nichts Die Gastgeber sind sehr hilfsbereit und kamen alle paar Tage vorbei wegen dem Pool etc. Ein kleiner Supermakrt ist direkt über der STrasse in 5 Min. zu Fuss erreichbar.
Leider ist direkt hinter dem Haus eine Strasse und es hat sehr wenige Kleiderbügel.
Die Ortschaft Montovon ist wunderschön und zu Fuss in 20 Minuten erreichbar. Romanische mitteralterliche Architektur, sehr gute Restaurants und herrliche Sonnenuntergänge.
Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder und bedanken uns bei Lilly und Walter!
Wir waren im Juni 2021 mit 12 Personen in der Villa Dolce Vita. Wir hatten ausreichend Platz und haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Das Haus liegt sehr zentral. Der Supermarkt ist nur wenige Gehminuten entfernt. Der Pool und der Ausblick ins Grüne sind sehr schön. Vor allem den Sonnenuntergang haben wir jeden Abend genossen. Wir waren rundum zufrieden. Walter und Lilly sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Wir würden die Villa gleich wieder buchen. Ein Highlight war, dass Walter mein verbogenes Schaltauge (Fahrradteil) 100% reparieren konnte-das war die Rettung zahlreicher schöner Radausflüge!

In septembrie 2020 am fost cazati la vila Dolce Vita din Motovun . Locatia este ideala pentru cei care nu doresc un sejur doar la vila ( este aproape de Rovijn , Porec , Pula , Umag, Vrsar, etc. ) ; Vila este dotata cu tot ce este nevoie pentru a asigura un sejur placut . La 5 minute distanta este un magazin de unde va puteti aproviziona , si banca cu ATM. In zona sunt cateva vinarii unde puteti degusta si cumpara vin. Recomand locatiile agroturistice din zona pentru o experienta culinara autentica (cu trufe , bineinteles) . Pentru orice informatii puteti apela cu incredere la gazde.

We are group of three families with 6 small children and one pet that stayed at Dolce Vita for four days in June 2020 and had there one of the greatest family vacations ever!
We really enjoyed our stay, whether was great, house is excellent, on great location with the most incredible and relaxing view. House is charming, very clean, equiped with everything you may need, decorated with Toscan vibe. In the morning we usually went to visit Motovun, Groznjan or Novigrad (all very near and great tourist locations to visit) and the rest of the day we would spent doing barbecue, swimming and relaxing by the pool. Owners of the house were very pleasant, showed us around the house, gave us bottle of local wine and bowl of freshly picked cherries as welcoming gift and local champaign as gift for one of us who had birthday during our stay in villa. Everything you see on the pictures really looks like that in real life and I would definitly recommend Dolce Vita to whomever has posibilty to go there.

Our family group had an amazing time at Villa Dolce Vita.
The hosts Lilly and her husband were extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the area.
Everything we could need was at the villa
The location is great, although the walk up the hill was steep we all had good calf muscles by the end of our holiday. Well worth it for the view and the great restaurants.
I would recommend this villa and would love to stay there again.
What a beautiful villa - situated in the most stunning location. The Villa overlooks the valley and at night there are wonderful sunsets.
When we arrived we were greeted by Lily and her husband, and they couldn't have been more helpful. They showed us around the Villa Dolce Vita, pointing out all of the most important features. We lacked for nothing, and there was plenty of space for the group of 12 of us. We spent most of the time outside and it was great to have the covered dining area next to the pool. Lots of deckchairs, recliners etc for us all to use.
The pool was a highlight for everyone - well maintained and the ideal size for our group of guests.
Two weeks in the most wonderful Villa and we will not hesitate to recommend to others. Thank you Lily for your hospitality and kind wishes as we left.

Wir haben mit 11 Personen und 2 Hunden 1 Woche in diesem sehr gepflegtem, schönen Haus verbracht. Der nette Empfang von Lilli und Walter sorgte für einen guten Start in den Urlaub. Die Ausstattung und die gesamte Anlage waren genau wie auf den Bildern zu sehen und beschrieben. Es fehlte uns an nichts. Besonders schön fanden wir , dass jeder Schlafraum ein eigenes Bad hatte. Der Pool lag Walter sehr am Herzen und wurde alle 2 Tage gereinigt. Bei einem heftigen Gewitter hatten wir Wasser im Haus und Walter war sofort zur Stelle.
Die Einkaufsmöglichkeiten vor Ort waren absolut ausreichend für unsere Bedürfnisse.
Abends konnte man zum Essen die schöne Stadt auf dem Berg besuchen und auch der Rest der Umgebung war für Hundebesitzer und Spaziergänge perfekt.
Wir können uns einen erneuten Aufenthalt in der „Villa Dolce Vita „ durchaus vorstellen.

Wir waren Anfang April für eine Woche in diesem wunderschönen Haus. Meine Familie also 12 Erwachse und 3 Kinder und 2 Hunde. Ich habe meinen Runden Geburtstag gefeiert und wollte meine Familie bei mir haben.
Das Haus ist ein Traum! Natürlich war es Anfang April noch teilweise frisch und regnerisch, aber die Heizungen in den einzelnen Zimmern waren ausreichend. Jeder Raum mit Liebe dekoriert. Die Küche auch super ausgestattet, Geschirr ausreichend da, die verschiedenen Badezimmer bei den Schlafzimmern super, der Pool Billard Raum lockt ständig zum gemeinsamen Spielen, der Garten für die Kinder zum Austoben schön, der Pool noch etwas kalt, aber trotzdem gepflegt, die Aussicht über die Weingärten und der tägliche Sonnenuntergang vom Garten ein Traum!
Die Lage genial am Fuße von Motovun, zu Fuß ein schöner Spaziergang in die Stadt bergauf. Zu Fuß eine Minute zum Geschäft und Trüffelverkostung und Weinverkostung auch gleich in der Nähe.
Mit dem Auto ist man in einer halben Stunde in Porec am Meer oder Umag oder man braucht nur ein wenig länger bis Rovinj. Also ideale Ausgangsposition für viele Ausflüge.

Wir waren als Familie mit 11 Erwachsenen und Hund Anfang September für 2 Wochen in diesem wunderschönen Haus. Zusammengefasst: Es war ein wunderschöner, hervorragender Urlaub, nicht zuletzt dank dieser schönen Unterkunft mit den sehr liebevollen und aufmerksamen Eigentümern Lilli und Walter.
Das Haus ließ es an nichts vermissen, hier wurde in anderen Bewertungen schon sehr detailliert die Ausstattung beschrieben. Das alles können wir bestätigen und noch ergänzen, dass wir das vorhandene Klavier auch sehr begrüßt und viel genutzt haben.
Für uns persönlich die größten Highlights:
+ genug Platz drinnen und draußen
+ vollständige Ausstattung, es fehlt nichts
+ der Top gepflegte Pool ohne Chlor mit Außendusche und Außentoilette
+ der Billiardtisch und die Tischtennisplatte
+ die Nähe des Geschäfts für die täglichen Einkäufe
+ die Aussicht (filmreife Sonnenuntergänge!)
* die aufmerksamen, aber nie aufdringlichen Gastgeber Lilli und Walter
Lilli und Walter sind ein älteres Ehepaar, die früher das Haus (aus den 80er Jahren?) gebaut haben und lange Zeit darin wohnten. Sie sorgen dafür, dass es immer sehr gut in Schuss gehalten wird. Jetzt wohnen sie wenige Minuten von dem Haus entfernt. Bei "Kleinigkeiten" wissen sie sofort Rat oder sind schnell da. Lilli spircht gut Englisch, Walter ausreichend Deutsch.
Wir können das Haus bedenkenlos und wärmstens empfehlen: Die Kombination von Kroatien (hier Istrien mit seiner Landschaft und den Orten), das tolle Haus und seine sehr gute und praktische Lage sowie die idealen Gasteber sind eine seltene, gute Kombination.

Wir waren mit 3 Familien, insgesamt 6 Erwachsene und 6 Kinder, für zwei Wochen im August in dieser wunderschönen, sehr gepflegten Villa mit viel Charme in unserem Sommerurlaub. Gespannt waren wir, ob das Haus auch hält, was die Bilder versprechen - und wir können dies nur bestätigen.
Die Villa versprüht absoluten Charme, die Aussicht ist nicht zu toppen, der Pool war einfach perfekt (ohne Chlor, biologisch gereinigt) und die Zimmer waren tipptopp sauber.
Die Küchenausstattung lässt nichts zu wünschen übrig: Backofen, Mikrowelle, Spülmaschine, Kaffeemaschine, Toaster, ... alles vorhanden. Besonders begeistert waren wir von dem Wasserhahn, aus dem gefiltertes Wasser gleich trinkbereit entnommen werden konnte.
Die Besitzer, Lili und Walter, sind absolut sympathische Menschen, die uns sehr herzlich empfangen haben. Walter reinigt alle 2 Tage den Pool und kümmert sich um den Garten, Lili hat zuverlässig den Handtuchwechsel organisiert. Alle unsere Wünsche wurden postwendend erfüllt. Es gab sogar ein Geburtstagsgeschenk für unser Geburtstagskind!
Zum Einkaufen kann man entweder direkt über der Villa (1 Min) in den ortsansässigen Tante-Emma-Laden, wo man eine erste Grundausstattung ohne Probleme zusammenbekommt. Weitere Einkäufe tätigt man am besten in Pazin (Lidl, Plodine) oder eben in Porec. Zur ärztlichen Versorgung können wir die Ambulanz in Pazin empfehlen, wo man ohne Wartezeiten direkt dran kommt und es auch deutsch und englischsprechende Ärzte gibt. Zudem ist die Apotheke direkt um die Ecke.
Einen schönen Strand haben wir in Novigrad gefunden (Novigrad-Pineta), direkt entlang des Hafens. Die Fahrt dorthin dauert circa 25 Minuten.
Empfehlenswert ist natürlich auch ein Fußmarsch hoch nach Motovun, der zwar wirklich schweißtreibend ist, aber man wird oben mit einer fantastischen Aussicht belohnt (Sonnenuntergang!).
Fazit: Wir würden sofort und ohne Bedenken direkt wiederkommen. Vielen Dank, Lili und Walter!

The garden and pool are really nice and the house is furnished and decorated in a very personalized style. We really liked that. We would love to return another time.

A fantastic place with a fantastic view. I strongly recomend this place. We were three families with a total of 15 personens, 9 children. We all loves it and had enough of space.

Wir waren dort im Juni diesen Jahres mit der ganzen Familie für insg. 2 Wochen. Insgesamt waren wir 14 Leute mit insg. 3 Hunden.
Es war traumhaft. Das Wetter war die ganze Zeit schön. Das Haus war fantastisch, genau wie im Internet beschrieben. Die Lage ist Zentrumsnah.
Der Pool war gigantisch. Das Grundstück war super eingezäunt, um die Hunde frei laufen zu lassen.
Der größte Dank und das größte Lob geht an Walter und Lilli, die zwei Hausbesitzer. Sie sind total lieb, sehr hilfsbereit und stehen immer mit Rat und Tat zur Seite. Großes Lob an die Beiden.

10 Erwachsene und 5 KInder hatten gut Platz bei unserem 1-wöchigen Familienaufenthalt in der Villa in Motovun. Es war alles wunderbar: Die überaus freundliche Betreuung der Eigentümer Lilly und Walter, das komfortable, geschmackvoll eingerichtete, sehr saubere Haus, der perfekt gepfegte Pool, der schöne Freisitz.
Die Gegend wird nicht umsonst die Toskana Kroatiens genannt, wunderschöne Blicke, vor allem in den Abend- und Morgenstunden.

Our first stay at Villa Dolce Vita was in August 2016, with all our children, sons and daughters in law and 5 grandchildren, 13 people in all. This was such a good experience that my wife and I returned in May 2017 with a group of friends, 10 adults. And immediately after us followed more family with their friends.
The reason why is simple: Villa Dolce Vita has all you need, and nearly all you can dream of in addition to nice and caring owners: a beautiful and spacious house, large pool and a unique old town right behind it, all set in a beautiful landscape. No wonder the area is called Croatia's Tuscany.
We see a lot of reasons to choose exactly this place as one's holiday home, and absolutely none for not doing so. In our experience May and August are equally good choices. Our verdict is: Highly recommended.

Das Haus ist sehr gemütlich und wir haben jeden Abend mit Pool-Billard verbracht. Lili und Walter sind sehr nett und haben uns mit diversen Ostergeschenken verwöhnt. Den Kindern 12 und 14 hat es auch Spass gemacht, die waren nur traurig, dass der Pool im April noch viel zu kalt zum Schwimmen war. Wir kommen bestimmt bald wieder nach Istrien. Wir waren zu 10 in dieser wunderschönen Villa. Die Villa war mit hübsche antiken Gegenständen eingerichtet, welche man stundenlang betrachten könnte. Wir verbrachten mit 6 Erwachsenen und 8 Kindern eine Woche im August 2017 in dieser wundervollen Villa. Lily und Walter empfingen uns mit selbstgebackenen Plätzchen und Wein aus der Region. Sie waren immer bei Fragen ansprechbar und gaben uns viele gute Tipps. Das Haus ist gemütlich eingerichtet, es fehlt an nichts und man hat einen super Blick. Die Kinder und auch wir Erwachsene genossen die Momente im und am Pool. Zum Abschied gab es noch liebevolle Geschenke für uns. Vielen Dank nochmal an Lily und Walter. Die Villa Dolce Vita ist sehr schön in den Bergen gelegen und bietet dadurch einen wunderschönen Ausblick. Auch kleinere Küstenstädte wir Porec oder Novigrad sind mit dem Auto schnell zu erreichen. Die Vermieter Lili und Walter sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit und sind auf alle unsere Wünsche eingegangen. Leider hatten wir etwas Pech mit dem Wetter und es gab einige stürmische und regnerische Tage. Dem schlechten Wetter waren die Fenster und Türen nicht so gut gewachsen und man musste auch die äußeren Fensterklappläden zumachen um im trockenen zu bleiben. Ansonsten ist das Haus sehr zu empfehlen und einen Besuch wert.

Wir bedauern sehr, dass Sie schlechte Erfahrungen mit dem Wetter hatten. Während Ihres Aufenthaltes in der Villa, kam es in der gesamten Region zu bislang nicht verzeichneten Regenfällen.
Seit bestehen der Messdaten wurden solche Regenfälle nicht verzeichnet, schwer, dass sich so etwas wiederholen wird.
Wir würden uns freuen, Sie bald wieder bei uns in Kroatien begrüßen zu dürfen...dann unter nicht so stürmischen Bedingungen :-)

With 4 families, 12 persons of which 4 children we enjoyed very much the nicely decorated house. As the weather was optimal ( not to hot and nearly no rain), we could have dinner every evening outside in a very nice equipped covered area with BBQ-facility. The swimmingpool was the center of activities for the children and the house had a very nice view over the landscape. All facilities as described by myistiria are correct and there is enough parking space for 4 to 5 cars. The owners are very committed in helping with extra tips (thanks Walter for the good restaurant advise and thanks Lilly with the extra tip that there is no need to buy bottled water) and i.e. swimmingpool was cleaned twice during the week without any disturbance for us. It is a great place either to stay the whole day at the villa or to explore the area around Motovun : wine, truffles, gastronomy, small villages or places at the coast are in the nearby surroundings. Motovun has a small supermarket, walking distance from the villa, where you could find most of the things you need during the stay.
Everybody left the place with very nice memories and no doubt we can recommend this villa to other families.
Finally I can add that the whole reservationprocess with myistria went without any problem.

This is a place where you forget everything around you and just enjoy time and life. Villa is in a beautiful place, hidde from neighbours, with amazing view, in Motovun. Really recommend to go up to the city center and enjoy amazing panoramas of Istria region. View will take your breath away. Villa is well equipted, you can find all what you need, everything like written in the offer. House is clean, pool was supervised by owner every few days, bbq area has all it needs, in master bedroom one more bbq place in terrace, game room with pool table for rainy days. We are still living our memories from this place and hope to come back there again. Everything was perfect. Thank you!
We stayed at Villa Dolce Vita from 30 July to 6 August 2016. With our children and their families we were 13 people aged 8 to 70. Our high expectations right from the booking were surpassed by the experience during our stay.
We had a wonderful week in a house with everything one can possibly expect to find. A beautiful villa with nice, spacious, clean, comfortable and well airconditioned rooms. Hot summer outside was no problem as the villa offers plenty of places with cooling shadow. And the 29 degrees salt water pool was everybody's favourite, especially the children's. Our evenings by the outside barbecue (one of two!) were unforgettable, as were our visits to Motovun, one of the gems of Istria. This ancient hilltop city offers much to enjoy, both outdoors and inside its restaurants. (Trip Advisor is a reliable restaurant guide here.) From high up here you have a stunning view of the landscape of the surrounding landscape. If the walk to the top seems challenging, you can go by bus every 15 minutes from just 200 metres from the villa.
More about the villa: Parking for 3 to 5 cars on the premises. Grocery shop within short walking distance and no more than roughly half an hour by car to cities like Rovinj and Porec are extra bonuses. So are the owners, who turned out to be very friendly and helpful. All this added to our feeling of complete satisfaction.

We are a family of 11 people, adults and children. We have rented Villa Dolce Vita twice. We are very pleased with the visits. The house is of high standard, well equipped, comfortable and clean and with a friendly and welcoming host offering good service. Compared to similar houses in Central Europe, the rent is affordable, especially in the off season. Absolutely recommendable!
We had high expectations and we were not disappointed. Villa Dolce Vita is a lovely house in a beautiful location!
We were 14 persons and there was enough space for everyone, even if some had to share beds when they had preferred single beds. My mother needs a walker and she had no problems accessing the house and the a bedroom with bathroom on the bottom floor.
The kitchen was fully equipped with what we needed.
If we had any questions we got quick reply from Lili.
All in all, a place to recommend!

Gorgeous, comfortable home with ample space for 12 people. The view is breathtaking, and the pool very nice. Lily and Walter were very gracious and helpful hosts, and it is clear how much they love and care for this fabulous villa. The location is easily within walking distance to groceries, cafes, and the bus that will take you up into Motovun. We highly recommend staying here.
Our favourite house...
Our family of 12 (ages 12 - 74) stayed here for a week and loved every minute. The house is beautifully equipped and allowed plenty of room for everyone. The pool was a big hit with the whole family. We loved the birds in the morning and the views. Even the summer thunderstorm was fun. Day trips included the beach, Roman ruins and lots of hill top villages. We enjoyed cooking at home and relaxing. Our host and hostess were very helpful and caring. This was our first trip to Croatia, but we will return.

We have just returned from a week at Villa Dolce Vita and we had a wonderful time. The villa has great character and all the facilities you need including a great pool (1.5m deep all round). Plenty of bathrooms to cope with our group of 9 adults and 2 teenagers. The property has two kitchens and a (charcoal) barbecue. There's now loads of crockery and cooking utensils in the well-equipped main kitchen, huge fridge and separate freezer (in the utility room). Useful extra toilets inside and out downstairs too. There is also plenty of seating inside and out and two sunshades which we made good use of in the 40 degree July heat. Lily and Walter are great hosts, who make you very welcome and are on hand (15 mins away) for any help. The location was ideal for us with a great local shop (lovely bread), bank, restaurant, cycle hire (motonatours), winery and vineyard offering wine tasting all in easy walking distance, and of course, Motovun itself with the steps up to the town starting directly opposite the villa entrance. The villa is also very private, so you can be as noisy or as quiet as you wish. Couple of tips; don't buy loads of bottled water before your arrive as Lily has filters on cold water taps giving unlimited supply of filtered water. If you fancy a change from home cooking or eating out, there's an excellent pizzeria about 5km up the road at Karojba.
We had a great holiday with perfect weather . We were 4 families and many children with room for everyone. Lovely house with lovely indoor and outdoor area. The pool was perfect and we spent many hours swimming . We enjoyed the surroundings , the view. We spent the holidays on the walk to the top of Motovun and ate delicious dinner at the Hotel Kastel . We visited wineries which was a great experience greeted by friendly people. 20 min from the house are many fine beaches and quaint town that everyone has their own story . We had a perfect holiday and we would love to come back - there are many things we did not get to experience. Thank you to Lily and Walter are extremely pleasant people . We were here in the beginning of May, and had a wonderful time with perfect temperature! The house is very tidy and nice in every way. We have absolutely nothing to complain about. Spacious both inside and outside, and well-equipped. Nice owners. The town of Motovun is pretty and very nice, and the surroundings are just astonishingly beautiful.
Villa Dolce Vita lives up to everything that is promised and more.
The houseowner took very well care of us.
The house is very beautiful, spacious and clean. The pool is clean and extremely nice to have on a hot summer day.
There is entertainment in the house for the adults as well as for the kids and the teens with the piano, pool table and tv.
There even is a washing machine if you feel like doing laundry during your vacation.
The house is in a nice location with a grocery store just 50 m away, so there is no problem to pick up some fresh bread in the morning for your breakfast. The store even have truffle products in their assortment. There are several restaurants in Motovun that serve fine food, I suggest you go for the truffles :) . Motovun is only about 1 km away.
In conclusion, our party of 9 adults, 2 teens and 2 children, were all very happy with the villa, Motovun and Croatia and I would recommend this house to any friend anytime :) !

Die Villa Dolce Vita übertraf in allen Belangen unsere Vorstellungen.
Wir fahren schon 15 Jahre in verschiedene Ferienhäuser, aber noch nie haben wir so ein sauberes und gepflegtes Haus vorgefunden.
Die Klimaanlage in jedem Schlazimmer ist das Sahnehäubchen der Villa. Täglich haben wir das Schwimmen im chlorfreien Pool genossen.
Ein besonderer Dank gilt Lily und Walter, die außergewöhnlich freundlich und hilfsbereit sind. Aus all diesen Gründen haben wir bereits für den Sommer 2012 das Haus wieder gebucht.
We have just returned from the most perfect family holiday at Villa Dolce Vita in Motovun. It was the perfect location for our extended family of 12, including 4 generations of our family from England. It was an ideal property for 80 year old plus Great Grandparents who had the downstairs bedroom leading out to the pool, and also great for the rest of our grown up family and 3 year old grandson.
Our hosts, Walter and Lily were brilliant not only looking after us so well, but also dealing with all of the small things to make our holiday easy and comfortable. We have stayed in Villas as a family in Italy, Greece and France many times, but this was the BEST experience that we have had. Great views from the balconies, a terrific and very clean swimming pool and great outdoor eating areas and barbeque. We have high standards and Walter and Lily and Dolce Vita met them all. I can recommend this villa and the hosts to all. The website gives a splendid and very accurate picture of the villa. It was excellent value and I hope that we will return to this part of Istria and to Dolce Vita in the near future. 5 star recommendation from all 4 generations; ideal for peole like us in their 80s, 50s, 20s and also youngsters.

The owners, Walter and Lily, welcomed us to the villa on our first day. We found the villa to be clean and well maintained and thought that the photographs and descriptions gave an accurate reflection of the villa and the facilities on offer. The kitchen was kitted out with plenty of good quality cooking equipment (but would benefit from a larger and faster kettle for tea drinkers!) and we particularly enjoyed the barbecue and outside eating area.
Our only disappointment with the villa was the lack of air conditioning in two of the bedrooms - making it necessary to sleep with the windows open which meant that unfortunately the occupants were frequently woken during the night by the howling and barking of dogs.
We were all bitten by midges - something beyond the control of the owners - so remember to take lots of insect repellants.
It was easy to find our way around in Istria. The roads are excellent and very quiet. We enjoyed days in Rovinj (a beautiful coastal town) and the seaside resort of Novigrad. Motovun itself is stunning and well worth the climb.
Eating at the villa was made easy with large supermarkets available in Buzet and Pazin, each about 20 minutes drive away (and open until about 8pm Mon - Sat). There is a small shop across the road from the villa for essentials, including tasty bread. Eating out and drinking was also excellent value. We particularly enjoyed a meal at the Hotel Kastell in Motovun with spectacular views of the sunset.
All in all - an enjoyable holiday in a beautiful villa, surrounded by unspoilt countryside.

This is a beautiful villa with six large bedrooms, plenty of bathrooms and a pool around which you can base your whole stay. There is outdoor seating which comfortably sat 13 of us (all adults) for all of our main meals. There is also a large indoor dining table, but we never used that. For those who want to get out of the sun, the living room is perfect for relaxing with the french doors left open and there is a pool table which is great if you fancy a quick game. Two criticisms: firstly, despite the initial warm welcome from the property management team, we requested a new filter for one of the drinking water taps and this never arrived and two, the availability of various kitchen utensils and a full matching set of crockery for a large group was lacking. Nonetheless, I would recommend this villa. It is large enough for a big group and is within walking distance to shops, a bar, restaurants and the village of Motovun. It also is in a good location for day trips to Pula, Porce, Rijeka or Opidija - you will need a car though!
Owner's Response: Thank you for the nice review. I'm sorry about the water filter... e-spring sells its filters by mail order... and it just didn't arrive in time. There's two such excellent water filtering systems in the villa and as we changed the expired filter they are both now in perfect working order. I'm also sorry about the crockery not matching, when we will replace them we'll pay more attention to get matching sets.

Alle Angaben waren nicht nur richtig sondern können eigentlich per Foto oder Beschreibung wiedergegeben werden, da es einfach perfekt war. So sauber und gepflegt wie man es von einem 5* Hotel erwarten darf, aber hier toll umgesetzt. Es ist über das eigene Haustelefon die Familie jederzeit erreichbar und sofort behilflich. Das Essen in Motovun ebenso perfekt und wenn man nicht weg will, kommt einfach der Koch ins Haus. Einfach ein Traum - Urlauben und sich verwöhnen lassen ohne Massentourismus in idyllischer Landschaft - relaxing pur. Da ich eine Internetverbindung benötigte überlies mir einfach der Schwiegersohn seinen Zugang und dies einfach für ein Bier.. unkompliziert und familär - ich empfehle diese Objekt jedem der einfach relaxen will, Billiard mag und in Ruhe im Pool seine runden dreht - und wenns sein muß ist man in 20 min. voll im Geschehen...
